Hi all,
I have skipped the intro. to get help first!
I have 2 orphaned bubbas, the youngest 12 days old today. They are spoon feeding themselves, but I just need to know, at this point is all they need is feeding and rest?
I have them in a clear plastic snap lock box with multipe air holes, saw dust base (used for guinea pigs), heavy fur material lining on the walls, an easter chicken as a 'foster mum' to snuggle with and a heavy sock for warmth.
Can they miss mum and dad, as both were very active in caring?
This all only happened yesterday and they were feeding and sleeping, but today they have feed twice since 6amand are more chirpy, trilling.
I just want to know if there is anything else I should be doing that I'm currently not?
Thanks in advance for any advice given!

I don't know much about baby birds but they should have a source of heat. Maybe a hot water bottle under the plastic container, personally I wouldn't have the lid on, just a towel over the top would be fine. What are they eating?
