Hello! I would please like some opinions. My budgie started laying eggs 10/26/14 for a total of seven eggs. One egg laid every other day. She started sitting on the first day immediately. Her seventh egg was laid 11 days ago. The first 18 days would of fallen on this past Wednesday. Eighteen days passed, twenty days past and now 24 days with no chick yet. I check the box and all the eggs look fertile but one. I also candled. The fertile eggs is really white. I am assuming I should wait 18-19 days after the last egg was laid before assuming no chicks will hatch. Is this correct? I have attached a picture of my eggs. It looks like only one is fertile. What do you think? Thank you for any help! :-)
P.s. Actually I cannot figure out how to attach the picture. :-(

When my hen laid infertile eggs she threw one out every other day as the time was up for them to hatch until they were all gone. Quite clever really, I numbered them so know she threw them out in the right order. I don't know if this is normal behaviour but seems like it would be, but maybe not all hens do it. She has has 3 clutches of infertile eggs and done this every time.

What do you use to number the eggs? :-)

A water based felt pen like Crayola.

No OP. My daughter is pregnant at the moment and can't eat eggs without the lion mark on them even though my chooks eggs are probably better for her than the ones in the shops.
