Hi My budgie had a scaly face illness and I applied vaseline to his beak and feet but now his feather looks like this: I guess this is because of vaseline but I'm not sure. Could you please help me about what to do?

I'm no expert but I would suggest it was Vaseline. He would spread it through his plumage when he was preening. That's what they do with the oils they get from the preening gland.

Hmm could be, not sure let's hope someone with more knowledge gives a more definitive answer but ...let's hope that's all it is.

Im sure some one else had the same problem recently, their budgie had scaly face so applied the vaseline which ended up ALL over his feathers and the poor owner was so scared but members said it was not a problem...Any way looks like the same situation to me but wait to see what the others think

I wouldn't try and pick him for a while. It will be like trying pick up a bar of wet soap.
