Sadly I lost my hen yesterday, while she was on 3 eggs in the nestbox. Any suggestions on what to do with the cockbird of that hen and the eggs also?

That's sad im sorry . Its probably a bit late now but if you had other hens sitting on eggs you could transfer them to her or try and incubate them yourself and hand feed but this will take some dedication and not easy as you have to turn the eggs i believe.

Goodness me how sad! Where have all the 'experts' gone!! I'm not but....I would think that the eggs would get cold very quickly if the cock bird isn't sitting on them and don't know if male budgies do that? So if you can't keep the eggs warm....I would imagine you'd lose them too, as for the male, if you've only got him, he should be ok if a little puzzled by what's happened I would think but ....if he is sitting on the eggs, who's feeding him as the male feeds the female when she sits......I think ! Am so sorry this has happened
