hello ..my little hen tickle who is bout 11months old ..has in the past couple weeks decided she is boss ..what perch she wants ..she gets ..shouting at and chasing Herbie off !//is this new behavior because she is maturing ?

Put it this way, the term hen-pecked wasn't coined for nothing! It is usual for the hen to be the dominant bird, at the top of the hierarchy tree. If you had more than one hen, there could well be a tussle for the top job. And the boys will be too meek and let them get away with it. So yes, mostly this will be both of them maturing; she is probably the more dominant personality as well.
