The last time I checked they had become a rare species. I think the price was putting people off. I got mine before the price went up. I got a refund because it was advertised with an opening top and it doesn't have one now.

I have, looking at Douglas now, he looks so tiny in there, he doesn't need a stately home, just an mansion - wouldn't want it all going to his head!!

A cage can never be too big! Glad Douglas is happy with his new home.

I'm going to keep this in mind for Basal later. He has plenty of room right now but I noticed a few places I already need to paint to prevent rusting (bird safe paint of course) on the one he's in right now. I love all the toys.

It is a brilliant cage, he has flying room which is a real bonus. First thing in the morning when I am in the kitchen and prefer not to let him out (doors opening and closing, cooker on etc) he always has a fly around after he has eaten. Paper, seed husks and the like EVERYWHERE but who cares lol

How did we all fill our days before we had budgies to look after I used to go out more! Now, I feel bad if I go out as that cuts into their out-of-cage time. Forget holidays!

I know what you mean, if it not the birds it is this forum, I have to read every post. I don't like going out either and I feel guilty if I leave them too long, probably 3 hours at tops. If I get up early enough I try and do something but like the other night when Pippin had a bad eye, I thought Jo had done it, I didn't sleep.
Such hard work from two little things.
