At least you know they can and will crop feed her if she doesn't eat, lemonade. Poor Coconut and poor you; it is horrible not being able to go see her or get updates over the weekend. Hugs and positive thoughts for the pair of you.

A worrying time for you lemonade, I hope when you phone the vet on Monday, little Coconut's condition has improved and you are able to bring her home.

I was on the phone earlier then when I got off I'd had a voicemail from the vet for a Coconut update. Typical, I was on the phone at the time they had popped in to check on her. Anyway the message left said the wee one had made a bit of progress with eating on her own, and her poops were looking fine. She was bright and chirpy and seemed settled. So I'm pleased to hear that I've to ring about 11am tomorrow for another update.

Good news! Keep eating, Coconut. and you will be home in no time. Nothing like good poops to set your mind at ease.

Hi Sweetpea, I'm just off the phone to the vet about an hour ago. They are happy to allow her home for a day with her medicine to see if she starts eating normally again. I hope she does so keep everything crossed. Ive to pick her up at 2.30. Do you think I should buy her some millet before I go, so she can hopefully munch on the drive back?

Oh, I forgot to say, she is very bright and chirpy, tweeting away, just not eating much. The nurse on the phone said her vent had green staining, but the avian vet who examined her noted that her poops were ok. I wonder why it's green? That's not normal is it? I will ask them all these questions when I go this afternoon.

Fingers crossed she starts eating once she's home lemonade, maybe when she's back in familiar surroundings with the rest of the gang, that will help to encourage her. Did that skin growth over her cere clear up?

I think that green means that she's not eating. That's normally what green poops mean anyway.

Jellybean it kept coming back, it was due to the respiratory infection, it was discharge that kept drying over her cere. Hopefully now they've done a flush it will be ok. I will remember and ask that about weighing her Marianne, thanks I will need to keep a close eye on her this afternoon and tonight. White paper down on the cage floor to inspect the poop colour too. I really hope the wee petal eats. She needs to eat or she will die. Hoping its a pining thing, or being stubborn because she's locked up. Will soon find out when she's home.
