Yes, I have a vacuum with a HEPA filter in too, but it is quite a big cleaner. I am wondering if anyone on here has a little hand held vacuum just for a mini clean up of the floor. Would save me getting the big one out every day.

The Handheld models look good but they are pretty expensive and the capacity is rather low so frequent emptying. I guess ease of use and how you intend to use it might put you off a larger model but......
I bought my cylinder vacuum cleaner direct from Vax during an online sale. It sits under the indoor flight, plugged in and ready to go. The long hose means I rarely have to move it far to clean the whole aviary, cages included.
Next time I receive an email telling me there's a "staff" sale I will pass on the link and the sale pass-code.
Unfortunately such sales only come along once a year but the savings are huge so worth waiting for. I paid about £39 for a machine that is normally more than double that. Most are advertised as having a "damaged box" but my last three purchases have arrived in perfect condition. I imagine they are sock clearance.
Best of luck with the search for a machine that meets your needs. Such a useful tool in the aviary.

Thank you for the tips and links folks, something I will have to invest in very soon I think. That is a good one mintysowner and the Amazon link milliej has LOADS to choose from - it's just knowing which one will be best.

Sadly as is often the case, the one I prefer for the budgies clean ups is just about on it's last legs and I can't find an identical replacement anywhere! Ho hum so much choice these days and I still can't get what I like or want
