Let's hope that is the last of that. A 1" scab is very large for a little budgie. No wonder it is taking so long to fully heal. It must still be irritating her, but maybe it will stop now that the stitch is out. I had one like that when I had a squint removed in my left eye. The stitches were really tiny but one of them was sticking the eye. So I can imagine how it would feel to Missy.

What a good girl you are, Missy. Hope all goes well as the incision heals.

Good girl, Missy. Now, leave it alone. Good luck with it this time round, Shirls.

It never rains until it pours they say. Missy was very naughty twice yesterday and picked and picked at the scab on her wing until she bled profusely. Had to bathe her twice with saline and dab with cornflour.
This morning after the 'event' with the chickens I dashed out to get some micropore. Had to go really early as I am awaiting a huge parcel that should have come DAYS ago. Anyway, the micropore is on and no more bleeding today. She lost loads yesterday and I must say I was surprised she was still with us when I uncovered them this morning. Phew!!!

Makes me wonder if there are any such plasters that can be kept on and promote healing?
Come on Missy, be a good girl.

I thought I was suffering! That is the big problem with predictive text. It tries to be too clever.
