How do your buds get on with the seed pots? Mine seem to have trouble reaching in to them, they seem too deep and also my cockatiels have so much trouble standing on those silly little perch things in the front, well they just can't. I am really not sure what to do for the best. If I take the pots out and use something else it just leaves big gaps. Anyone come up with anything? Maybe some curved perches to go round the front of the pots would work but where would I find such a thing?

I have exactly the same problem SQ and have found they are reluctant to put their heads in so I took them out completely. I have replaced them with gravity/silo feeders instead. Will show you a pic tomorrow as they are covered up right now

Yes that's the thing, they have to be full all the time. The silo feeders would be good but where do I buy them to fit the horizontal bars? I have them for water but have to put them in sideways and turn them upright once they are through the bars which means some of the water spills out.

They are the same Jane. What do you use instead?

Silly ferplast changed the seed pot design - they were better in the old version. I don't think Phinny could even fit his head in the gap! He certainly didn't want to try! They seem designed for canaries or finches. Anyway, when I had the new version, like others, I removed the silly pots & used separate seed pots.

These silo feeders starlingqueen can go in either horizontal or vertical bar fittings which helps - here is the picture I promised you to show what we do

Thank you samwiseg They are excellent. And Jane, the place you found them is where I buy my dogs insulin, they are extremely good so there's no worry about buying from them.

I also use Animed for my dogs medication and the budgie pellets. Like you said they are extremely good and the free postage with no minimum spend is brilliant.

But I have to pay £3.99 for delivery of the insulin as it is delivered by courier and has to be in a special cold packaging. Still excellent value though. Save

I ordered my Piano 6 cage from Zooplus starlingqueen and a couple of silo feeders from Animed last night. Can't wait to get the cage. I am also going to view a second hand chair this afternoon to replace a two seater settee in the living room so that there's more space for the cage. I am sure I'll end up in a shed outside eventually whilst the animals take over the house lol
