I have to say that when you said that Loki made himself submissive I wondered what the photo would be!!

I can't really make out whats happening with the picture as I'm using my phone. Is it just a beak to beak, or is one trying to feed the other. Gosh Spyro, you've the heart of a lion 😀 Spyro is feeding Loki. Have a look at it on a full screen. Just had to go on the computer to see this O.M.G. That's unbelievable. I don't know who I love the most, Spyro for being the kindest, bravest little bird, or Loki for being the big gentle giant

It is the sweetest, jellybean. Shirls, I would like to think so. Loki was not happy with any of the budgies landing on his cage when he was having a snuggle session with his "blanky", though. They got a right telling off!! His blanky is part of a a flannelette pillowcase that I made into a triangle (no, it really is a diamond - I didn't cut the bottom off flat and the sewing machine was put away before I realised my mistake) and hangs down one end of his cage. He has an array of interesting noises reserved just for it.

This is the photo I was trying to upload last night. This morning it wants to play ball .... cute or what?? ..... and don't worry, we were both watching out to intervene quickly if needed, and only an arm's length away. Great pic. How lovely

How funny. I just got a green cheek and named him Loki. I had not seen this thread. Of all the times I've been able to walk away after seeing all the beautiful birds at the store, I just couldn't this time. Something in that little bird soul spoke to me. I had already named him before they let me "test him out". I'm making my own thread about it because I have a few questions, but wanted to laugh at the coincidence.

I didn't name him; in fact I would change his name if I didn't think he associated with it.

Thanks, Marianne, but wouldn't have been my choice. It is rather common in the conure world, as well.

I'm sure that being named after a God gives Loki delusions of grandeur
