I don't see why not either, except that the yolk has got all the protein in it, and that's what you are wanting to get into him.
Don't forget you can feed him all those lovely seeds that they like but generally can't have because of the fat content, such as those dreaded oats.

Been trying him with sunflower hearts chopped up small plus groats but I still think he is not eating as much as we would like to think

Sam, Haiths sell NAKED OATS, if you think he might eat them. Bigger than groats and I'd imagine more calories.

It is very popular in my house.

This is such a horrible disease, i remember a bud i had with it, he was constantly at the seed pot but wasn't or couldn't eat. It looks like they are feeding but they just go through the motions What i did get him to eat was soaked seed, soak it in a tiny drop of boiling water let it cool and serve, it's very easy for them to eat and digest sam.

Sadly he is really poorly this morning guys and I can't see him like this. He hasn't eaten ANYTHING today and its just breaking my heart. So have an appointment for the vet this morning. I tried x

Marley was put to sleep this morning at my request, it just wasn't fair and you just know when it has to be done. Thank you all for your help, advice and support it means so much xx I shall post a little tribute to him tomorrow
