Thanks criswell, I appreciate your help. He was a bit if a wriggler š¤£ but he took it ok. I loved the feel of his soft baby feathers when holding him.

I thought they were slightly better too.
This mornings after the paper was changed are better still.

I agree with criswell's assessment - more solid, less liquid than the day before's poop. I'd give the GA until you feel that he is a lot better ... until the poops return to normal. But I've not had anything to do with this product so I'm really flying blind.

These poops do look so much better! Don't forget the meds might have a bearing on his poop condition too But it sounds so positive for little Sam now heading in the right direction! (Phew)! How's he behaving in himself today now jellybean?

He's bright as a button samwiseg, he'd been going nuts in the cage flapping, so I took him through to the bedroom, I covered the mirrored wardrobe doors with sheets (what a palaver ) and BORROWED Ben's boing and his double ringed swing, which I hung from the bedroom curtain rail. I opened the cage door and waited, and waited, and waited, he looked but wouldn't take the plunge, so I clipped a piece of millet to the platform...... he was out like a shot He ate some millet then took off, of course he didn't know what to do, so he ended up hovering over the bed which was amazing to watch, before landing on the duvet, then took off again and landed on the floor, so I lifted him and put him up on the boing, where he sat quite contented looking out the window and preening as if he'd been doing it all his life. He had another fly about before I gathered him up and carried him back to his cage, and I didn't even receive a bite. He's just the best boy

How lovely for him to be able to stretch his wings! And it sounds like he was not uncoordinated like many new fliers can be for some time. well done, Sam!!

Oh this is such good news! Sounds like he's such a sweetheart, am sure Ben will love him! Nice to know he has the energy to fly about too (something tells me he's gonna be a mommy's boy)

Don't know about that samwiseg, but I'm certainly smitten with this little guy. This mornings poops, sorry to go on about poops and show poopy pictures but I'm just a bit anxious about how they seem to be looking to everyone else.

Even better still IMO jellybean loads better and less liquids and more solid looking. Don't forget, he's been subjected to Avipro, GA, different food and the meds given by the vet that's a lot for a 6 week old tummy to take on! It might take a few more days but am certain he's improving from this morning's photo

Thanks samwiseg, it's a relief taking the cover off in the morning and seeing some improvement. He's lively enough, Ben just needs to chirp and he's off, jumping from perch to perch calling back and bashing his mirror, think he thinks the budgie in the mirror is the one making all the noise š¤£

I was the same with Squawk jellybean. His poop became a bit of an obsession with me. Chirpys can be watery in the mornings (the overnight droppings) which is why I recently had them tested before introducing Munchie. Nothing wrong and they are both lively as anything so Iām not worried at all.

jellybean, it's normal for a budgie person to be obsessed with poop, I am constantly checking it.
