That sounds much better. I’m really hoping he’s over the worst and will be better very soon.

He is more active and been cleaning himself. Still very thin, but his droppings are turning a bit of a better colour albeit still stuck to him. He DOES NOT like me cleaning his bottom twice a day but needs must and all that.

I'm so pleased John is doing better. You are taking such good care of him, even if he doesn't like some of it. He really must be feeling better if he is protesting

Sounds like when George was getting better after his stroke, he'd start to bite me REALLY HARD for picking him up!
Good boy John, you keep getting better.

The heavens have just opened and it's like a storm here. I am sat in the back so I've brought John with me out of the front room which is quite dark. He can hear the others outside. Here is a picture of him giving me the look.... and yes I have done everything I can to encourage him to eat which is why there are a billion seed pots. They also helped him get about when he couldn't walk.

He is gorgeous isn't he! When he started getting a bit stronger fran I put the perch in, and then the swing. He is such an active boy it's been such a shock to see him like this. I really thought I was losing another one. Yes Marianne he's got a full buffet!!! Seed, millet, grit, egg food, oats - anything he would eat really, he is so thin. Millet is his favourite. If it was Ron he'd be in the oats No veg for him yet. Not until the baytril stops and his droppings are normal.

Oh sorry Marianne, didn't reply about John's mutation. I've no idea when it comes to what's what, but he is blue with a yellow head and when you look at his body you can see yellow under his blue feathers, like they are two toned. His daughters cora and Ida were lutinos and I looked into it and the genes came from John not shirley. Jellybean, I don't give them too many, they are fattening, but as a treat. John's only got so much as I've chucked anything i could at him to get him to eat
