Thank you so much everyone, it's so good to be on the mend now. Haven't got full use of my arm yet, but it's only been 5 weeks. Can't believe the bone has healed after such a short time! Amazing! Especially at my age! X-rays to follow, courtesy of Sam!!

Well if you were to see us together skysmum jellybean you would see how mother and daughter we are lol! Okay I understand we want xray pictures lol! The break is underneath the shoulder ball i.e. at the top of the humerus and the semi circular bit to the left of the shoulder ball is also broken When she first did it:
After 5 weeks
Just wanted to add, if you don't ask, you don't get. She is entitled to look at these because they are (after all) xrays of her so if you ever want to see stuff to do with you medically...just ask!

That’s an incredible difference in 5 weeks! Well done Shirls for being so brave and good luck going forward into doing your physio.

Thanks, Sam. That’s a great result in only five weeks, Shirls. You must be a good healer. .

Good it is healing quickly, fingers crossed you wont need much physio. I actually broke and cracked the should ball in 3 places so I think that is why it took a good 18 months to get the movement back to virtually 100%.

I always heave healed very quickly Hezz, but when one gets a bit older, one would expect it to take a little longer. However, my mobility is still impaired because of the pain, and I still show a healthy bruise. I can do a lot more though than I could three weeks ago , which I am really pleased about. Nice to know you got back to more or less normal suesbird. I was a little shocked at the first consult when he said I wouldn't ever get back to normal, but I think he was giving me 'worst case scenario'. I expected the x-rays to be clearer than that too!!

That is a very difficult area for a break Shirls! Happy that you are a good healer and being conscientious with doing your physical therapy. Keep up the good work!

Saw physio guy, he was really nice and very caring. Got a couple of simple exercises to do, not too simple at present but hopefully they will get better, so all is good. Got another appointment to see him on 29th December.
