I guess because any responsible breeder or pet shop would know what the bird was that they were selling?
It's weird that thy didn't.

No problem Scotty. It's a Blue Topaz Quaker Parrot. I considered getting one myself. Good for your uncle for rescuing it. Did he rescue it from the outside from an animal? Poor little guy. He seems tame though

He/she is beautiful. Where did he come from?
If you are keeping him/her, will he be okay with your budgies?

As he was rescued and seems very tame have you tried to find his owners?
They could be out there worried about him.

captain howdy i am waiting for someone to come forward or post something on the shops notice boards i have checked local shops today to were found and nothing so far. i am not advertising the bird i ave found as anyone can claim him and id rather just not let him go to anyone. although he is rightfully not my bird i feel that i have the right to do this and stop him from going to a strangers home. i have bonded with him now he dont like anyone else but me lol. so if someone posts about a lost quaker parrot i shall call them and ask them about him and take the necessery steps before releasing him to one other.......... il give him a couple weeks with me and maybe i will take him to my good friend at the bird farm who has alot of parrots as i know he will get a good home there. or maybe i will keep him. fingers crossed i will find his rightfull owners as someone is missing a wonderfull pet here and if it was me id be devestated to lose such a tame loving parrot. .... as for now im checking lost bird sites ect and checking the local pet facebook pages that i am a member of . are these birds exspensive does anyone know ? i have never bought anything but cockertiels and budgies before ?
