Hi all My name is Lynn and I live in the Scottish Borders on a farm. Keep some hens and have found 4 budgies in my hens on the 4/5 th December. I thought I was seeng things to start with but no. I know have managed to catch them and have them indoors in a make shift cage. I have contacted my local rescues to see if anyone has lost any. So thought I would ask on here on in case anyone knows anything. Even if anyone can put me in touch with breeders in my area. I can't seem to find any. I asked local pet shops but thy wont give me any details of their local suppliers.

Well done you, for giving these little guys a temporary warm home. Hope you have some luck with either finding their owner or a new home for them, that's if you don't wish to keep them on yourself.

Budgies are all doing very well. Getting stronger all the time. I think there is 3 boys and a girl. Not 100% sure though. My daughter has really taken to them. She been getting the all out and letting them fly around. She can get the to step up onto a wooden perch. Looks like they will be staying here for a while. That's if they aren't claimed by someone.

Oh what beautiful birds, they look as if they've been very well cared for. Keep posting please, if no one claims them it looks as if they've found a good home already

Wow they are nice birds, and looks like your daughter has a way with them! They have obviously been well looked after and handled before, do you consider taking them on if they are not claimed?

They are very sweet. I think if we don't keep them all ,we will keep at least 2. I am quite taken by them. Never thought I would be but they are very comical to watch. Hubby likes them a lot, which is good. He had one as a child that lived a long time. So keeping them is looking very likely

They are lovely, Lynn, and your daughter is doing so well with them too ........ and hubby likes them ....... looks like they are part of the family. Surely someone would have come forward by now? I agree that they are used to being handled - so doubly surprised that no-one is looking for them. They are lucky that they all stayed together.
