OMG!!!!! We are so lucky here in the UK!!! Ooooh come on, Shirls ........... I haven't even gotten to mention the crocodiles yet! Or the marine stingers which can stop a dodgy heart ...... or the flying foxes that carry terrible, fatal, rabies-like viruses ............ oh yes, we currently have a dengue fever outbreak as well. That is transmitted by mosquitoes. A nasty beast that also can kill the second time round. That's probably enough for the time being ......... who's coming for a holiday? ??

Only my children have given me nightmares and grey hair, Shirl!!! Skysmum, Shirl ........ come on down! The water is warm, if nothing else. No need to be cold and miserable ...... you can come here, be hot, miserable, and go home with a once in a life-time tropical disease! LOL LOL LOL Erm, let me think about that for a nano-second. Errr - no. Thanks for the invitation tho.

Do you know what, i would love too, whats a tropical disease among friends . BUT and its a big BUT, ive lost the nerve to fly . Ive been to many places and never liked flying but the last flight 7 years ago put the lid on it when we had to come in in 80 mile winds . it was so bad that when we did eventually land everyone stood up and cheered and clapped the pilot, when i got off the floor i did too . My theory is, if we were meant to fly we would have been born with wings like our buds

skysmum, they really will only hard a fly. Huntsmans are the big teddybear of the spider world. They look bad, is all, and quite often they end up inside when they are running out of options - usually missing one or more legs. I remember as a kid we would get them inside from time to time, anyway as my Dad so rightly pointed out they won't harm you, blah, blah, blah, just leave it be. So mum did ........ Mrs Huntsman had hundreds of little huntsman ........ I am sure my mother felt overrun and definitly outnumbered! The vacuum cleaner came out quick smart ............. you can guess the ending to the story ........ Moogie, it's the bathroom window ..... perving on you while you have a shower ....... There is an Australian bird-eating spider, but the one in my photo is a Golden Orb spider, very common, and usually feeds on insects, but we did have these in our local paper a couple of years ago: www.cairns.com.au/article/2008/10/23/11601_local-news.html
