skysmum, they really will only hard a fly. Huntsmans are the big teddybear of the spider world. They look bad, is all, and quite often they end up inside when they are running out of options - usually missing one or more legs. I remember as a kid we would get them inside from time to time, anyway as my Dad so rightly pointed out they won't harm you, blah, blah, blah, just leave it be. So mum did ........ Mrs Huntsman had hundreds of little huntsman ........ I am sure my mother felt overrun and definitly outnumbered! The vacuum cleaner came out quick smart ............. you can guess the ending to the story ........ Moogie, it's the bathroom window ..... perving on you while you have a shower ....... There is an Australian bird-eating spider, but the one in my photo is a Golden Orb spider, very common, and usually feeds on insects, but we did have these in our local paper a couple of years ago: www.cairns.com.au/article/2008/10/23/11601_local-news.html OMG sounds like a scene from the arachnophobia film, shuuuuuuuuuder , and the news clip about the bird , i definitely aint coming, freaky looking thing as well. Awwwwwww. I had the spare bed all made up and everything!

So what are you in at the moment, are you still in summer or going into autumn, what is making it bl##~y awful, is it the storms, or is it still really hot. And has the weather anything to do with the critters being around more or are they like this all the time, sorry for the interrogation just love to know whats going on in different parts of the world. I can just see your face if i rock up onto the drive in me camper, a demented Jack Russell and 5 buds all going mad. Be like the National Lampoons Vacation .

I can just see your face if i rock up onto the drive in me camper, a demented Jack Russell and 5 buds all going mad. Be like the National Lampoons Vacation . Bl@#dy awful is very hot, very humid - sweat dripping off you while you do practically nothing. The storms do cool things down, but until the wet season starts properly which it should have by now, they can make things worse - everything is saturated, the sun comes out and it is like trying to breathe underwater. My timber floors took about two hours to dry, even with the fans on today, because there is so much moisture in the air. As for the critters, they are obviously more active in summer, but really think it was luck of the draw. I am fairly sure Mac and I came across the python early one morning on the road up the back of us (Mac was trying to decide which bit smelt the best : And as for you all in your camper, well fortunately or unfortunately, five berserk budgies would be in quarantine downstairs; one demented JRT would make a fine meal for one demented python (only kidding, only kidding) if Mac was agreeable , and that leaves only one quite mad Englishwoman to be dealt with!!!

sounds a tad uncomfortable at the moment then. I watched a tv prog once about an English couple who relocated to the rainforest area, all looked idyllic, the most beautiful house in a stunning location, in the forest i think, but they only managed a year, she said everything was damp even there clothes in the wardrobe. They had to cut their losses and come home. Yep Tilly would make a tasty little aperitif , i can just see the snake sliding away barking, she is ALL russell and very vocal . And as for me, i think ill just stay in the camper with my buds, safer you understand .
