Good-morning all, the slave is up and about again, cover is off. Cor! he looks a bit rough even after a nights sleep. He doesn't look as bad as he did when he came home. It was a long wait at the hospital as it seems. Not much to say as yesterday was a bit of a right off. Poor fellow couldn't see properly and it looked a bit sore. Early to be it was. Trouble is it was early for me as well. The cover went on just as it was getting dark and he went to bed soon after. I reckon about 20:00 with paracetamol in his hand. Perhaps more to say later as things waken up.

Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow.
You've just reminded me. Mum's developed glaucoma and she's been on at me to get checked. It's hereditary.
I think they'd have to put my head into a vice to do that.

I didn't realise it was hereditary stace? Thanks for the heads up on that - despite me having type 1 diabetes too (so get my eyes checked regularly) they don't actually check for glaucoma?! Well wishes to your slave Joey, I think OP is very brave x

This is the slave talking: I don't think tell i need tell anyone how precious your eyesight is. A good optitions will check for glaucoma as routine. It is such a common and easily diagnosed thing. Just a little puff of air Stace, nothing of a test. Mine is not so easily diagnosed but is incurable once diagnosed. I have what is called Age Related Macula Degeneration. There is two types, Wet & Dry. Without going into the gory details wet, which I have got in my left eye, is treatable with the injections that I have occasionally. I will not go blind with the condition but seeing becomes quite a challenge. At the moment it is only the left eye that requires treatment, the right eye is not within the nice specifications yet. It's not so much a case of being brave Sam, it's the better of the two options that I have. The clinic is absolutely packed these days & there are some rather older than I am frail people that go through the same treatment.

6 to 8 weeks before another check up. Then it depends on the scans and all the rest, then a Mr decides. I may have one the next visit, but then again I may not. There is quite a rigmarole to go through each visit, which is taking longer and longer. It was three and a half hours this time. Yawn, zzzz.

Oy! come on now slave you've had long enough on my blog. Give him an inch and he'll take a mile. I haven't been out of the cage today because it's been so flipping miserable and dark all day. He put the lights on for me, but it's not the same as proper sunshine. I hope he's feeling himself tomorrow because he hasn't cleaned the cage out today. He cleaned it out early yesterday so now it's proper messy again. It's no fun when it's like this because I can't tell where I've pooped. Of course it's got proper dark outside now so I suppose the cover will be going before long. Not too soon I hope. I have enough on finding the time to sleep as it is. I only get about 8 hours at night, where am I supposed to get the rest of the time from? That's it for now. More tomorrow.
