Bless her scaly feet! Good thing she is being a bit more sensible than a lot of others are. Munchy zips around in such a rush that all of a sudden he's shot through the couple of inch gap as the door is closing and your hair is moving with the wind of his passing. Quite frightening really. Hopefully the others will begin to warm up soon. Perhaps they're just grumpy that she might commandeer their perches Of course, because she's still very young she probably doesn't get much rank in the flock yet. She might be more competitive with Smudge when she's a fully grown grumpy hen

Mango is stunning I love the dark green edging on the wings. It looks so lacy. Hopefully the budgies will let Mango be part of the group.

skysmum, Sparky and Mango are the only ones who zoom straight into the cage - love it! The two fat ladies fly to the door jamb, perch and then fly in. I shouldn't denigrate Smudge too much though as she can do a full 180 from the top of the open door to the bottom of the door space, using up only about a cubic foot of space. Quite a feat for Miss Tubbles. Ira, I know that one! It is so scary! Sparky is the one I have to watch, and loves parting your hair on his way past. I had to put little Missy Mango away for a while, as I think even Sparky needed a break! She has attached herself to Sparky - the girls are too engrossed in themselves, each other. I was watching her checking out Smudge's tail while everyone was hogging into the fresh grass, reaching out here, a little peck there, nudge it again, until guess who got a right telling off??? All I could say was you had that coming, girl.

I collect grasses for them every day. They are simply what I can find on the day - nothing specific. There doesn't seem to be many they don't like, but certainly there are ones they like more than others.
