Let the little one have all parts of the egg. Even the shell can be crushed up and given to her as well. Just remove the membrane first.

Her leg shows a little bit of a grip now, not a lot, still can't walk with it or sit with it, but no longer fully limp Shes constantly chirping now. So I guess she'll be ok!

Good news! You have done a great job! I hope you will keep her. The two of you are good for each other. Have you named her yet?

Let us know how she does in finding a forever home. You have a big heart to have taken her in for some extra attention. And she repaid you by showing you what wonderful pets budgies can be. A happy story all around.

Well, she saw the vet yesterday, her claws can grip to some degree, but she has no strength in her actual legs, theres no fractures, nothing that has been pulled out of place. So she's back with me for now, will give it a week and see if she gets any better. If not, i guess she'll end up as a special needs bird. Which we can't sell at the store..
I've fixed her box so she can sit on her stick and lean against the walls of the cage so she can perch comfortably.

Budgies with special needs often learn to cope with their disabilities and lead very happy lives. This little girl is a fighter. Thanks for giving her lots of love and good care. That's what she needs most.

I think the shop owner should give you the job of looking after her at home.

What will happen to her if she can't be sold?

What will happen to her if she can't be sold? Well, the store don't have room to keep the animals that can't be sold due to injuries, sickness, so they'll end up at the vet. If i did take her in, she'd have to live in a travel cage for quite some time, i cant afford getting her a big cage yet, even if she is out of the cage most of the day, the cage is too small for her. She's currently in something similar to this:

Could the shop not lend/give you a cage for her?
