I hope you are happy with this arrangement. I recall you saying that birds were not your forte, and it would awful if you felt pressured to keep her if you were not keen to. You are obviously a caring person to have done what you have for this little one already. I am sure she will reward you many times over.

You are obviously a caring person to have done what you have for this little one already. I am sure she will reward you many times over. I got put off by birds when i watched a lovebird for a customer, she was loud and mean, she would scream all day and night, even with a cover over the cage. I had to let her out a few times a day, her cage was a bit small so she needed to stretch her wings, and she would bite (didnt know little critters could bite that hard) and fly over my head and scream and try to bite. I realize she probably did that because her owner was suddenly gone and she was in a new house. But it was my first real meeting with a pet bird, and it was exhausting, i didnt sleep for the entire week she was here. This budgie here has been a dream in comparison, she does bite when i pick her up, but not to the extent i cant take it. She's very quiet except for when i let her out in the morning, she'll do a little song. And when she's frustrated with the balance of her foot she'll make a little annoyed sound. If she doesnt like it here, i'll look for a better home for her. But i'll gladly keep her, shes sweet, i just didnt plan on getting another pet Even if its "just" a little bird, it does involve quite a lot of responsibility.

You have gifted Norway's budgies. I think you may want to keep her. She looks like a magnificent little bird.

You two were meant to be together! You will have so much fun. Have you named her yet? She is a special little girl.

Having read all the way through this, it's such a lovely and heart warming story! Clearly it was meant to be, and the little girl is so lucky to have found you! The amount of care and love you've given her is going to give you a friend for life! As for names, it might be cliche but why not Lucky? Considering how lucky she was? Unless of course you've already named her. Keep us all updated with her progress and photos.
