I'm glad he's okay in himself. I only spent a week catching my two to give them medicine and that was with them in a cage and that was stressful enough for us all so I really feel for you and yours going through a much harder time of it. I hope it all pays of for the little guy. Xx Yes, I hope all the stress is worth it. Check up in 1.5 weeks time. Another morning of a battle of wills. I had the cloth wrapped twice around him but he still managed to rotate & then curl into a ball. They are all sat in Phinny's cage now so it looks like the manor is out of flavour again, suggesting bedtime shenanigans. Is the check up next week? Hope it's good news x

I read that entire blog post with an Alekzander Meerkat accent in my head! Haha! That suits his name really.

You poor stress bunny. I'm so glad my vet tries to formulate most meds to go in water. If medication has to continue beyond the 45 days I will ask if there is a water alternative. I know vets generally prefer the oral method as there is more chance they get the proper dose, but here it's pretty much a hit & miss affair...

The checkup is tomorrow. I am expecting the vet to take another blood sample to compare with the previous, so I expect results will not be available for a few days. Apart from the daily morning medication battle, he seems in good spirits.

Thanks all for your good wishes. Bezukhov had his check up today. Blood test results available in 2-3 days. He was anaesthetised for the blood test so has been a bit groggy today. Groggy or not, on our return he still insisted on vacating the travel cage immediately!

Unfortunately Bezukhov has to give another blood sample next week as the lab said there was not enough 'plasma section' in the blood he gave on Monday. His red & white blood cells were tested & all was fine there but the bit they couldn't test for was the important bit. Apparently this can happen in small animals due to the small volumes they are dealing with. I haven't told the poor boy he has to go through it all again..... On a very different but slightly more positive note, I am happy to report that Phineas had a tentative jiggy on my hand this morning. He had seemingly had a personality change & stopped all jiggy-jiggy & regurgitating completely. I hoped it was just because he was moulting & this seems to confirm that. It has been at least 5 long weeks but it looks like the ol' man is back.
