Beautiful pics, learner - always great to see brand new little buds! Well done, Fluffy Grey and Charlie!
Like others have said, sorry about recent troubles and hope you are feeling better and helped along by these little lovelies!

Wonderful, beautiful....so happy for you (I would not be more overjoyed with a new born baby!) Yes I'm odd!

Aren't baby budgies noisy! These two make a real racket when their dad, Charlie, pops into the nest box.
I guess Fluffy Grey takes up enough room without him wandering about.
Charlie likes to nose out through the perspex end panel when I lift the outer wooden door to peep in.
Some help you are Charlie!

Not the best of photos and not very recent but... easy to tell who is who: And a rather young looking Charlie as the photo is over a year old: At first these two did not seem the ideal pair. Charlie is smaller than Fluffy Grey as she came from an exhibition breeder. Fluffy wouldn't win any prizes on the show bench or be considered as suitable for breeding show birds because of her "flecking" but I like her. She and Charlie became inseparable so they choose each other. I had thought Fluffy Grey and posh Fluffy Blue would have made a great pair but they thought otherwise.

They do seem a mismatched couple, but love that you allowed them the freedom of choice. Beauty is only in the eye of the beholder, as they say. Fluffy Grey's flecking is about the nicest I have seen; sometimes it only serves to make the bird look dirty. And Charlie is a gorgeous little fellow. Can't wait to see the chicks fully fledged.

Although only two eggs hatched they are proving to be good first time parents.
The miss-match in size and colouring may well give some interesting results. The chicks seem to have the strong dark pattern and fluffy grey of their mother along with a spot of blue and the flashy yellow from their father.
I thought I could see some green on one of the chicks tails..
Time will tell..

Well...another surprise when I knocked and gently slid the nest-box door up this morning. Peering back at me, bold as brass, a very perky baby budgie... but this one wasn't sporting the previously seen grey fluff with yellow pin-stripe. Guess what colour we're wearing today.
