BudgiesBuddy Hey, because my grandad who breeds birds said that apple cider vinegar was good to fight off bad bacteria but failed to tell me how much to put in, i don't have a great relationship with him so i don't have his phone number either, chips been sneezing more often than usual but not sneezing fits and they are dry so i thought it might help. Going to get an air purifier for Christmas too Barrieshutt Thanks a lot! ive seen it say every week in some places ill trust your word

so the best way would be to get an empty 2ltr bottle, fill it up and add 5ml of apple cider vinegar then put that in fridge to use a few times a month?

It could be that BB's tap water isn't as good as your tap water in England, Joey.

Joey, rather than buying bottled water, how about boiled water? It is much cheaper and has a lot of the yuck boiled out of it - bacteria is certainly dead, and it can help break down some of the other crud that the councils add "for our benefit" I use boiled water for my birds all the time - it's easy, the kettle is just there, the water has already been boiled and all you have to do is make sure it is cooled before you give it to them.

Never had a problem with droppings yet (touch wood). Nice, clean, perfect droppings all the time. It will be interesting to see what you think of it, and if you notice a longer term difference. I also use his iodine, vitamins and mineral supplements two days per week. I've often wondered if this is why my bird never ever touches his cuttlebone or iodine block. Perhaps he feels no need for it.
