Isn't Violet such a sweetie? You obviously did the right thing Gareth by just leaving the other baby. Will you breed any more? Thank you . I have seen mum and dad getting a bit jiggy again. Mum is still looking after Violet so I am going to see how they get on and leave the nest box in for a while. If she does make another nest I'll give her this one more go at it and then remove the box after. I don't want mum to get too worn out and I definitely don't want any colony breeding going on in the future.

Does anyone know when the babies should start to fly? I've seen her flap her wings a bit but not in an attempt to take off yet.

I think it is roughly between 5-8 weeks old depending on the bird of course but see if Skysmum can confirm that

Like sam said around 5-8 weeks Gareth, she shouldn't be long now if she is test driving her wings, just got to get lift off
