She is beautiful, a lovely colour too. I would get some vitamin D in her Shirls, or get her outside for some sun, she probably hasn't had any and her bones could be soft. She is sitting very low. Thanks for that Wendy, she never has had any veggies. I thought she was sitting really low too. Carrot on the menu as the first treat then!! That may be what the problem is with her wings, we will soon sort these things out (hopefully!!). She can sit in the sun in the conservatory tomorrow, that may help things with the doors open and direct sunlight. As long as it isn't too hot of course!

Do you think it could be through fear at the moment Shirls, what with the move and being in a different environment. Don't really know though, I'm sure others will help.

That's how Edwards wings sit, but Edward doen't have many flight feathers.

I noticed that too Shirls that's why I mentioned the vitamin D. It could be due to bone softening and them becoming deformed.Like people with rickets, the bones bend. I'd give her time to settle then get her to a vet to have a check up.

The sun is of no use inside the conservatory. The vit D is filtered out by glass it needs to be direct sun. Have you got any supplements with vit D in, like feather up?

I did mean sitting in direct sun in front of the open doors, I am fully aware uv is of no benefit through glass. I have just taken Smudgie out in the garden, she has had 3/4 of an hour in the sunshine, with some shade and she is now tucking into carrot in the kitchen!! What a good girl she is. Yes I have feather up, so as you recommend will give her that too, but I don't want to 'overdose' her on everything straight away!!! I don't think she is frightened jellybean, nothing, not even the carrot phased her. She watched me eating it for quite a while, so I had carrot and a cheese roll for lunch today!! I have scrubbed and F10'd some natural perches for her too, as I am short on those, all the main ones are in the big cage. Anyways, she seems very happy, preens, eats, chirps and that's the main thing for now.

I bet she enjoyed being out Shirls. She sounds like a little live wire already, glad she has started on the goodies

Very pretty. Perhaps with no chance of flight before, she just needs building up? And maybe missing flight feathers?
So glad she is settling in ok

Her feathers are quite different to Edwards. It'll be interesting to see what others say.
