Hello, my name is Marianne and I am your contest organiser for the February 2012 Budgerigar contest of the month.
The contest begins today and you can submit your entries to me, until no later than midnight on Tuesday 28th February.
You can send in your entries by private messaging me on here or by emailling them to budgerigarsforum@gmail.com
This month we are having a guest judge kindly organised by our very own Barrie Shutt. There will be no bias towards Admin staff, therefore they may enter the competition if they want to.
We also have a prize donated by the fantastic website www.allpetz.co.uk
Although Allpetz provide products for all animals they specialize in Parrots.
They stock a range of toys, food, perches and everything else that you will need to keep your parrot happy, healthy and entertained!
January's winners were Oscar and his owner Amberlea. Here is the winning photograph.
Theme
Amberlea has chosen the theme for this month and it is..
"budgie brains, your birds being clever"
This theme has a range of possibilities. Some ideas for you are:
*Hanging from strange places to get to things.
*A trick that your budgie can do.
*A smart way of doing something.
*Just a budgie looking intelligent!
*Anything you think is clever
The winning photo will be displayed on the Budgerigars forum facebook page here: www.facebook.com/#!/budgerigarsforum Also on our new 2012 winners thread that has been created by Rachael.
RULES:
Only one entry is allowed per member so make your choice carefully as once you have submitted your entry it cannot be exchanged.
Photographs entered must be of budgerigars and be of good quality, which means no unfocused, blurry, or grainy shots. Other species of birds may be allowed in the photo as long as the budgerigar is the main focus.
Each month there will be a theme so any entry that the contest organiser does not feel matches the theme will not be accepted. If, for any reason, you disagree with the organisers decision then another member will be brought in to give a second opinion although I doubt that will ever be needed
Your entry must not have any enhancements such as sparkly emoticons, exposure correcting, or text, although cropping within reason will be allowed.
The winner of this months contest will get to choose the theme for the March contest.
