We've had him out again this afternoon. He flew better but didn't quite land on the top if the covered TV and went scooting down the back of the cabinet. I took a leaf out of Marianne Marlow book and used a perch to make a taxi stick which he hopped onto so I could lift him up. He sat for a while on my shoulder and then we popped him back on his doorway and he went back in.

Very handy for hard-to-reach places. Being short, I need one quite often.

Ha ha yes Hezz I know that feeling. 4 foot 11. While I might have some inches on you, Helen, that doesn't help much when the naughties find the highest place possible to perch when you need them in. The favourite is to run to the back of the top of the cage where I just can't quite reach, and then hide behind one of the legs of the play gym. Brats!

Last night Archie found that he could perch on the top of the curtain rail and I coudn't reach him even with the taxi stick! Alex had to get him down - several times! Little tinker!

Sounds like you have hit the jackpot with this little guy Helen, he sounds adorable. Hopefully Eric will grow in confidence around you as well. Fingers crossed Archie wont become too feral when he gets with Eric which is always a risk i guess, be an interesting time

We are trying to split ourselves in two at the moment. I stood and hand fed Eric some red chard after tea. Then I went and gave Archie some broccoli. We had Archie out again in the living room and he gave Alex the run around on the curtain rail while I was in the shower. Then I sat with Archie for a while and he seemed to enjoy my company.
