He's more reluctant to step up in his own room and when in the cage just wants to come out, but we're visiting my grandparents today and he'll step up in unfamiliar surroundings, so at least I know I'm trusted slightly. My grandparents' faces though. I put the travel cage in the car and my granddad looked and said "Hello Munchy" before realising that something wasn't quite right. Then my nan came home, peered in through the window and indicated that Munchy wasn't there. I got Peri off the tv and held him by the window and she grinned, then looked very confused, and then said "Is he (Munchy) dead?" Bless them. They were so concerned that I had another because something had happened to Munchy. And nan asked if Munchy was okay being left behind this week. Oh, and Peri has obviousky decided anything I hold must be food because he jumped from one hand to the other to pinch a bite of mince pie pastry.

Oh, bless the Grands for their concern. He has been as much a part of their recent lives as they have been in his. I'm sure little Peri will win their hearts just as Munchy has.

How could they not like him? He's gorgeous. And anything in your hand is definitely food for him. That is the law! My first budgie, Criswell, wanted what ever I was eating, even porridge.
When I told my Mum over the phone that we had another budgie (Dean Stockwell) her reaction was "Oh no, Why?" She didn't come out and say it but I know she was worried that something had happened to one of the other two because we only had budgies in 2s up to that point. When I explained he was a rescue that needed a home she was very excited to meet him and apologised for her initial reaction, even though she didn't need to.

Definitely, Hezz. They liked him. As criswell has said, how could they not?? He is just too cute not to be loved.

He is adorable. I'm not feeling the urge to have quarantine end because I desperately want them to meet like I know some people do, or overly strained by it or anything, but I do think things will be easier once they're in the same room. Well, in some ways. In others it might be harder, but we shall see.

Oh @sillycat84 what a little sweetie! He is lovely - felt a bit sad when your Grandparents thought something had happened to the Munchster! But all is good and its so exciting to hear about his antics! Welcome Peri to a lovely home, you've certainly landed on your feet

Speaking of Munchy, he's just dumped a piece of corn in his seed bowl. Spending the majority of the day with him today because we haven't had much time together of late. I'm not sure that Peri thinks so, but as long as he's happy and healthy I don't really mind if I have to spend the rest of forever sticking the top half of the travel cage over him to send him home. We'll just keep trying. I'm sort of leaving fresh food until he's in the same room as Munchy, because he's totally oblivious, so maybe Munchy eating will encourage him to try new things.
