My brother-in-law in Brighton has just been invited to a BBQ by an NHS nurse! I'm totally lost for words about that. I just don't understand. He declined the invitation.

People are just idiots! Ive been for a run today and didn't see another soul, but I did go off the beaten track, plenty of cars on the road though. Spent rest of the day cleaning the house and tidying the garden. Still feels weird to be home alone for no reason. Buds like it they have been out all day. Still can't post any images. Is anyone else having trouble?

With all the madness going on I think this forum and the people on it are the only thing keeping me sane.
Love the pictures of the boys Helen.
Also love your clock, can I be cheeky and ask where you bought it?

Love the pictures helenmat! Things are getting very scary here in Los Angeles. There are 1216 cases and 21 deaths. It is predicted that in the next week the cases and deaths will dramatically increase and what we all see happening in Italy could be repeated here. The US Navy hospital ship Mercy has just docked at the port which is not far from my house. It is docked at a slip usually used by cruise ships. The plan is that non-coronavirus cases will be hospitalized there and free up beds at hospitals. Trucks that usually transport frozen/cold foods have been moved to hospital parking lots to store dead bodies. Other than staying inside we've also been told to take supplements like vitamin C to build up immunity. We've also been told that zinc throat lozenges will help prevent the virus from taking hold in your throat. Silver spray also does the same thing. Unfortunately none of that is available in the stores - sold out. Buddy and Tweetie Pie say "hi, everyone".

We have a big exhibition centre being kitted out as a hospital and most of our private hospitals are going to be used as and when needed.
The thing with the vitamin C etc, we’ve had conflicting info, however it can’t hurt to build your immunity. Zinc definitely helps fight colds
It’s all so scary
Not many out on the roads here, I don’t know about central London

Also love your clock, can I be cheeky and ask where you bought it? Yes it’s very heavy, measures 90cm across and takes two of us to change the time. I dread the clocks changing! 🤣 it was from Dunelm. Around £60 from what I remember.

It is a lovely clock, I like it as well. What I like better though is the colour coordination of your boys with the walls and cabinetry. They fit right in; did you do it on purpose??

I'm glad you are getting paid helenmatI work from home so I'm usually home all day but it still feels weird. I don't have students coming round now and for the first couple of days I kept thinking I must move some of the packages from the hallway because they'd be in the way until I remembered no one was coming round. I only have 2 students at the moment which I'm seeing online which we are all enjoying but I am missing the interaction with my other students. Most don't need my help now the exams have been cancelled. I'm not missing going out though as I tend to only go out if I have to. I hope your foot is better soon HezzThank you! It certainly taking its time to heal. As someone said to me, "you don't bounce (back) the way you used to".
