I expect the police are really stretched at the moment jellybean, doing the checks that they are supposed to do. Is the traffic normal cars/people or is there quite a number of trucks/vans and things?

90% cars Shirls. It makes a mockery of the "stay at home, stay safe" policy I just wonder....WHERE IS EVERYONE GOING. They're not doing any checks where I live Shirls.

Finally got it to work. Ive had to do them one at a time. I really love the 'tree' playground. Did you buy it or make it? I'm a bit rubbish at DIY.

I love the chameleon. Beautiful photos tweetiepiesmom and helenmat. I thought the same about your budgies being co-ordinated with the room. My mum is very disappointed with one of her friends who is in her seventies with high blood pressure and is mostly going out like normal. She isn't shopping at the local co-op supermarket because she doesn't like it. She thinks what will be will be and if she catches the virus and dies then that is what's meant to happen. She should make sure she tells that to the NHS so they don't try to save her. Her husband is also going out as normal. The rest of my mum's over 70s friends and family members are being sensible. They are preparing the Principality stadium here in Cardiff to use as a field hospital with 2000 beds. It's thinking about things like this that gets me really anxious for everyone.

I’ve seen loads out too.
Sadly I know someone that passed away yesterday. From what I can gather, if it turns out it was coronavirus, he had severe asthma underlying. It could have been that. We’ll hear in the week. I’m not sure if he’d been out but his wife had, as they thought they’d both had this virus weeks ago. But this is why it’s spreading.
I did go out yesterday to collect a prescription for my SIL. I was gloved, there were distances maintained. Otherwise I wouldn’t have been out and not going out again. My SIL they think now has chest infection but is starting to improve, sleep better. My brother us now where my SIL was as in in bed - he’s about 4 days behind her
Outside here, are a family playing football which is fine. But then 2 runners went close by them. Why?!! They just had to turn back where there was no one.
All makes me so mad

I've just seen a statement on Sky News, "UK will have done well if fewer than 20,000 die" 😮😮
If that doesn't make you want to stay in....nothing will.

The government has now taken stronger measures to prevent people from going to and congregating at the beach and hiking paths. Physical barriers have been put up with warning signs. The police will be giving out warnings this weekend and tickets starting next week. It will be a misdemeanor with a fine. Disneyland announced they will stay closed until the end of May. Hospitals have started sending non-Coronavirus patients to the hospital ship this morning. I have to go out today to pick up a prescription and groceries. Will let you know what I see. Hoping your family members get well quickly ffiscool.

We are looking after the old couple next door. They are in their 80's and he has had cancer. My husband stopped off at Waitrose on his way home from his night shift this morning, to get some milk and bread for us and the neighbour. He picked up 4, 2 pint bottles of milk. The manager was called and he was told he could only have 3. He said but if these were 4 pint bottle I would only have 3 and as it is he has less milk than he wants anyway. He explained that he was shopping for next door as well and the manager said then you have to come back again and do 2 shops. Hubby pointed out that he is a keyworker on his way home from a night shift and he had already queued for 40 minutes and just wanted to get home to bed. And also that he's only allowed out once a day and doesn't want to be putting himself in danger twice. He was allowed to take the milk in the end.

Given the over buying that has been happening, it’s good people are being questioned.
I have no idea why skimmed milk is nowhere, just semi and full
I must make myself go out for a walk tomorrow. It’s only just become less grey here, but now I can’t be bothered to go.
Watching a box series, rather than the virus updates on it all

blue48, yes we did make it. We found the wood in a pet store and then we attached other bits to it with jute string. The base we have reused from an old play gym that was a little too big. But originally it is a coated piece of MDF which we edged. It cost us about £30 altogether. We just leave it sat on the end of our dining table and if we have people round to eat then we move it.

Given the over buying that has been happening, it’s good people are being questioned. I have no idea why skimmed milk is nowhere, just semi and full I can understand limiting people but there were people at the front of the queue with 3, 4 pint bottles. By the time my husband got to the front there were only 2 pint bottles left. He couldn't get there any earlier as he was working, ironically delivering supplies for shops. Surely it would make more sense to limit the weight rather than the number of bottles. This was skimmed milk he found for the first time today.
