I can't follow a pattern either. My brain doesn't do instructions, directions, recipes or patterns. My face looks like I'm trying but my brain is saying "I'm not listening"! I get into a terrible mess!

Speaking of home made things and people with talent, I haven't seen anything from sweetpea recently. Hope she and her family are all doing well.

I'm the same with directions, instructions and also forum posts that are too long, especially if it has no punctuation. I never read manuals as I cannot make sense of them. I can't follow a pattern either. My brain doesn't do instructions, directions, recipes or patterns. My face looks like I'm trying but my brain is saying "I'm not listening"! I am still here & all is fine, despite this unbearable UK heat! It's midnight & room temperature is just dipping below 30 degrees. Perry & Lennie are well but not eating much, or doing much of anything actually, in this heat. (Bit like their mama!) I need to read through this thread to check out the talent!!

Glad to hear everybody is good sweetpea! A couple others here have mentioned the heat. I don't do well in heat either. Here's hoping a cool wind blows your way.

I'm struggling with the heat too; it looks like the temps will be dropping tomorrow, thank goodness1
Yesterday I just lay on the sofa with the fan on and a water spray in my hand, trying to cool myself down. I gave BetieB the occasional spray too because although he's a desert bird I doubt he's used to the humidity? He seemed to enjoy it but he didn't want the bath I offered.

I'm hoping we'll get that storm we're meant to be having to clear the air. It keeps moving further back though.
My two are acting normal. I'm missing them every so often because Indie occasionally lifts his wings from the heat, but neither of them enjoy it or seem inclined to venture to the fountain.

Our heat wave is coming starting tomorrow and will peak this weekend and into Monday. We've also got fire alerts in place which means no outdoor fires - no grilling etc. I guess I shouldn't complain (too much). It is summer which means heat.

We haven't been really hot like elsewhere in the UK but the thunder and lightning we had last night was unlike anything ( x 100) I have ever experienced before. The lightning was like having a faulty strip light on for about 2 hours (with forked lighting as well), and the thunder made me crouch down involuntarily. There was also a LOT of rain although unlike other parts of Scotland we weren't actually flooded. I have never been scared of storms before but I really didn't like that one. Worst of all, of course, is the train derailment south of Aberdeen which killed three people and is likely to have been due to landslip caused by extreme weather.

Oh my, how terrible. We are now in hurricane season. Here in California we don't get the full force of the hurricanes, just the tips off the Pacific. Mexico and Central America get hit hard. The East Coast gets some pretty bad ones.

It’s unbearable here. Also thunder and lightning on and off but no rain yet. I hope it cools it down when we doo. Hate the dripping. I have ice packs when I go to bed, small one in my hand, larger on my neck or chest depending how I am lying.

Had some long awaited picture frames arrive today that my OH insisted I get to put up in the flat. Here they are, I think I've chosen suitable ones, was a bit doubtful at one point!!!
