I think there has been a resurgence since the lockdown stevex, I was shocked yesterday when I had a look on the website I gave the link to, to find lots of jigsaws SOLD OUT. I hope maybe youngsters now are taking an interest.

jellybean, yes, I think it's a good thing to encourage them to do as they have to concentrate and learn not to give up when they can't find the bit they want. There's also so many available that you should be able to find one they like. During the last Xmas hols my son and I completed a 2000 piece puzzle of Star Wars characters. Not my idea of an interesting picture I still got far more easily engrossed than he did but I did find that if he saw me having a go that he would come over and join in - a bit like the budgies taking an interest when we play with their toys or 'eat' their food, works a trick

Try the Wizigig ones where the final picture is not the one on the box Are they the same as Wasgij ones? I have one on the go right now. It's a Christmas one, but what the heck!
Jigsaws are supposed to be good for keeping your brain active and delaying dementia type illnesses.

I like the Gibsons "I Love ---------" range too. They take lots of concentration and take longer.

I've been looking at the Thomas Kinkade ones, a lot of them are out of stock at the moment though.
I love his paintings.

Jigsaw puzzles certainly have evolved over time. There were come I was interested in when looking for things for the boys as youngsters. I can't remember exactly but I think the puzzle picture was something that everyone on the box picture was looking at. Does that sound familiar to anyone?? I've probably got it very wrong!!!
