Yours won't go in and mine won't come out lol. He loves it in there! He does come out of course but not as often, seeming quite content to sit and play inside. He slept in there last night. He's usually out and about at bedtime and when I say "bedtime" goes back in by himself. Last night he was already in so I closed the doors, said goodnight and covered him up.
I can't figure out how the bars fit securely to the transparent part. I lifted the top off to put fresh paper in and the 'cage' part lifted off. The instructions are not very clear and at some point I think I'm going to have to take it apart again, but I'll wait for him to come out to play then I'll have another go.

At the top of the cage the bars fit on the outside and clip on, with the plastic bit at the bottom, the bars clip onto the inside. It's quite fiddly. I'll take some photos for you.

Thanks very much Marianne. They explained perfectly and it's all fixed now 😃
In the first picture, I'd rested the lowest bar on the plastic bit and tried to snap it down, rather than getting the plastic between the two bars. Stupid me, like a child, I couldn't wait to get it together. I had tried to do it properly when I first got it but there's a knack of slotting the verticals in then lifting and it snaps in place.
BertieB shouted at me when he saw me taking his lovely new home apart. Cruel mummy 🥺

Apparently so. Maybe I'll find that two budgies will refuse to leave it at bedtime.. So it's not so scary after all

Did they sleep in the new cage?
I like the rope perches. I might get one for mine.

They're all using the play cage now. It's as if it's been here forever

Well, the cage that we got only 5 months ago needed to be replaced. The hens stripped the blue paint off the bars and it had started to rust. So we have had to set up the hagen vision that we bought to replace the other hagen vision in it's place. We'll have to buy yet another hagen vision. Note to all, don't buy a savic 50 if you have hens or birds that will strip paint off of the bars. Peter was the first budgie to go in. After all of the others flying round it and being scared of it. He just strolled in and made himself at home When it was first set upPeter in his fortress of solitude
