My two get up with the sun and go to sleep when the sun goes down, so no sleeping in for me either!

I would go to bed earlier, depends on my downstairs neighbour and her tv in her bedroom.
We had an eventful day. I moved Max so he wasn’t exposed all sides. Then he started the crazed jumping about again. Trying to get out from the bottom of his cage. I’m trying to teach him to go back up the ladder.., Then he’d stop for a bit and do it again. Same routine as he was other day, only now it involves sitting in his seed pot en route. I sat next to him and he was right against the bars where I was. Stuck my finger in which got nibbled, and then a nail/beak bash. But happy I was sat there.
I know he’d been out, at the breeders because of the photos. So as he was going mad, I thought ok, we’ll see. Well he didn’t look where he was going as he could have landed a few places. I thought he’d just end up on the carpet, but no, he banged into the window. Half of it is full of plants, they aren’t just clear panes as have dividers, not sure what they’re called. Anyway, I picked him up from the sill and put him back into his cage. I totally should have been strict and not let him out. He sat quietly for ages and I thought ok, it’s out of his system. But no, ten minutes later he was looking to get out again. This time I just sat there talking to him. He had his dinner, water, played with the mirror and plastic c clip things. Now he’s in bed
I definitely won’t be repeating that in a hurry. I’ll also, when I do, put paper up or post it notes in the window. Managed to bash the toe next to my broken one in my hurry to get him.
I offered him millet, omg, millet is clearly a monster out to get him.
So, he’s brave/confident, which I was told he was, but I’m not
Bailey, after a few weeks of having him, I then opened the door - he spent another few weeks just looking at the open cage door, before he took the plunge

Maybe you should continue to let him out. He just may learn places to land and the window doesn't lead any where. Of course it'll be nerve wracking for you but once he learns, you can start having fun with him out.
How are you - no sniffles, congestion or rash I hope.

I did think about it, but will give it a bit longer. I need him to be used to the room a bit more. But I’ll start putting things around that he can land on. I have a few things coming in the post.
Thank you for asking. I’ve been sniffly for ages, pre Max, but where I have a fan on and the air purifier, it all feels dry in here I think it’s not going to be yet, as in theory my lungs were back to where they were pre Bailey. Obv allergies can heighten as we get older.
My problem is I also cough from reflux, but other than sitting next to him a lot today, I’m not inhaling as much and I’m hoovering. I suppose at the moment too, whilst he’s not lost any feathers yet, that’s keeping it down.
I’m hoping my measures all help

Today, he’s gone nuts again. So, I have paper on the windows, cushions over gaps. Removed all plants etc. I opened the door, put his platform on, but kept my hand there until he kept standing on me. He came out, went into the window sill, I had towels between the edge and coffee table. He landed on my tv table, top of the tv. Then I rattled his cage and he landed on the table it’s on He’s back in now looking a bit quiet and prob shocked lol The play gym is coming today. So I might let him have a few mins out later today. Anyone wanting one, it’s £3 on Amazon it’s the one I had for Bailey.

Sounds like he's learning how to get about outside his cage - good boy. The playgym looks great with many places to hang other toys.

It comes with glue, which it needs, but I’ve not used it slotted it into the pre made holes for now. To be honest it’s not that well made but for £3 I didn’t mind. I thought it would be bigger. But it’s fine.
Max has been out a few more times and he gets to the back of the cage, I then offer a perch which he gets on and I bring him to the front so he can then go in.
He’s found the iodine block and cuttlefish.

I know he was handled from birth, but I don’t know how much as the breeder had not long had a baby.
He’s been quiet for a while now, but he has used a lot of energy today. He just had a bit of dinner.
