Barney is talking to himself in the mirror. He is ever so handsome after all and the budgie in the mirror is kind and doesn't bash him.
Toby is sitting in the cage bashing a toy with extreme enthusiasm. Toby has two operating modes, sleeping or full on animation.
Finlay is sat on top of the mirror looking down/trying to get down the small gap behind it. Why exactly is a mystery but this occupies her for hours.
What are your flocks doing?

Gwen looks down the back of a set of frames on our wall when she's cruising the room looking for a suitable nook. My lot have been out for a walk in the sun to get vitamin D, so they're currently all perched about the room singing away. Except Indie, who seems a little off today.

My two guys are into their morning routine in the cage. I've given them their breakfast which is a cooked mash with a few pellets for good measure. Buddy is perched beside Tweetie Pie singing his heart out. Tweetie Pie is catching 40 winks. They'll both be let out for lunch and exercise around noon.

Good question, what are they doing?
Chocobo now kisses my hands and when I sit on the floor, she sometimes comes over and sits in my lap. She has become so tame! STOP PRESS: Chocobo just landed on my head and pulled my hair, as I type this. First time ever. She's seen budgies do this so it must be fun, so she's tried it.
Hibs was on my finger just now, demanding I talk to him in our little language. Eeyore then landed on my head, as he sometimes does during Mr Hibs one-to-one time but for the first time ever, Eeyore started preening my eyebrows. Unreal, Eeyore is so timid.
Squeak is searching for things to shred. Patch is searching for time on his own.
Herman is still quarantined. Last I saw him, he was listening intently to me and may have been trying to reply, he wasn't making his normal noises.
Brown Jenkin the gerbil just woke up and demanded a peanut, which he got because he is such a good little boy.
Hmm, currently everyone except Patch and Squeak is eating.
They have all been very busy today.

So many busy budgies! It was so lovely and sunny today my guys and gal had a bath for the first time in a little while. Boy, did they enjoy it!

Ira Finlay is also fascinated by the gap under the hamberley that isn't really there and the back of the side board. I suspect your guess is correct! ariella Finlay also took a bath today. Fully lying down in a plate of water much to the distaste of Barney who thinks water might make him dissolve.

Fully lying down in a plate of water much to the distaste of Barney who thinks water might make him dissolve. The henny antics are here for the season. After rolling around in my hands to bathe and then drying out, Gwen and Pippin got very flirty with each other. Fortunately Pippin is as thick as two short planks, and didn't get the message at all on the three occasions that Gwen requested ahem a little more than kisses from him, and she eventually got annoyed at him and gave up. I might have to set up a second cage and then swap around who's allowed out at once.

I put the bath out for my two yesterday. After a few tentative sips, Louie was perched on the edge of the dish, trying to splash water over himself but getting nowhere. He's got all the right actions but needs to work out that he also has to actually jump into the water, it may take a while....I'll have to train Bobby to push him in. Meanwhile, Bobby does jump in but with Louie flapping around, he doesn't get much done. We can all try again today, but I won't hold my breath.

stevex I've seen exactly this from Finlay at times. It's so tempting to reach over and push them in 🤣. Ira I sometimes think the exact same thing is happening with Barney and Finlay. She chases him around, but he just doesn't get it. Far more interested in the handsome dude in the mirror.

This morning, Mr Hibs has performed a thorough search downstairs for Herman, the brand new recruit who lives upstairs for now. Who will tell him? Not Squeak. She followed Hibs every step of the way but made no suggestions.
Eeyore and Patch have kept to themselves and each other. Not getting involved.
Chocobo was chasing Brown Jenkin, the honorary budgie, around the downstairs. Eventually I had to put BJ back in his apartment as I needed to attend Herman. Chocobo's foot seems good today, big relief!
Herman has been lovely this morning, stepping up when asked and being sociable. I got a couple of kisses from him and even my first ever (from him) preening session. He is naughty though as after being a homebody most of yesterday, he now does not want to return to his cage. I'm sitting with him (he's on the curtains, I am not) and I am making sure this isnt becoming a big issue. Hes getting very wilful now!

Currently Peter, George, Max, Bertie and Chipper are sitting in the summer palace. Iris and her gang of Billy, Colin and Daisy are on the playground on Penny and Lyra's cage, plotting no doubt. Penny and Lyra are just sitting about, preening. Since I took this photo a few minutes ago Iris and Billy are down the back of Penny and Lyra's cage climbing about. Now Chippers on the mirror behind me, shouting at me.

Mango had all three boys chasing each other around the outside of her cage, each trying to be the one closest. Piper has sheep dog instincts and tries to round up the other two boys and cut them out away from the flock (Mango and himself). I don’t usually leave them all out together with Mango in the room as poor girl gets no peace, but it is a sure fire way to get the boys moving around and exercising.

This afternoon Dexter spent most of his time singing along to 70s music, stopping for a bit of preening. He came out to visit Miss Peacock, played at feeding her and chucked her on the floor, waited for me to pick her up then carried on playing with her until she fell on the floor again. I picked her up again and the process was repeated a few more times before he decided to go home for a snack.
