Having spent most of the morning away from the nest, I have concluded that Chocobo is finished egg-sitting with the current batch. I have taken away six eggs plus the nest itself.
The poor darling will need to find another hidey-hole to disappear into in order to avoid the budgie hordes.
And it might be that Gurgeh will need to find another cage to be alone in, if Chocobo reclaims her usual cage.
Oh for goat's sake. She's calling and displaying to Mr Hibs as I type this. Argh.

Chocobo has resumed her place in the Flock and has been interacting (and lookimg for nest sites  ) She's also under 70g in weight now! I hope this lasts for a while. |

Came downstairs after some time with my quarantine girls to find Chocobo on a perch in one of the tall cages, standing on one foot and crying her heart out. She appeared to be shivering, too. And soaking wet.
*What* a drama queen!

Chocobo is fine , she often "creates" after a thorough bath. She's sitting at the Herb Jungle right now, looking at me & eating fresh mint from her "hand".
I was was just sorry the sun wasn't out at the time so she could sunbathe.

A blast of wind and rain just hit the lounge window, making everyone look up at the same time. Glad I did my shopping when I did!

I've blocked up the gaps underneath the fridge.
Chocobo was under said fridge just now and was making her "alarm" calls. It wasn't clear to me whether she was annoyed that I was too near a "potential nest site" (seriously, Chocobo, under the bloody fridge?) or if she was stuck. Her track record suggests 60-40 in favour of her being stuck.
Sure enough, she seemed unable to move from he position so I began emptying the fridge in readiness for *a flash of inspiration as to what the hell I can actually do*. Having emptied the top section, prior to emptying the freezer section, I looked underneath - a final check before Crossing the Rubicon and beginning to defrost a goodly chunk of food ...
Glad I checked, she wasn't stuck at all. She'd shifted position. So I stuck a stick under the fridge to dislodge the little terrorist and out she popped.
It's actually crossed my mind to start a moderate amount drinking again. I won't act on the thought - but it was there.

I was out-played again last night, Chocobo spent the night (at least until my bedtime) under the fridge.
Today I have beefed up the fortifications. If she can defeat those ... the fridge is hers.
