I took a couple of pics of the budgies in the eucalyptus and of a few escapees who realised that there was millet spray outside the aviary:) Freddie and son Lagudin know only too well where to find the millet spray;) Mega, Floozy and Freddies daughter Frottola know the millet spray is outside the aviary somewhere, but they've got the wrong end lol!

Thanks Budgiesbuddy:) Lol, some of them were being a bit dumb and not working out how to get to the goodies! Freddie and Megas families always manage as their dads taught them well on how to be adventurous;)

I have 30 budgies and 2 bourkes in the aviary Skysmum:) All the birds are in a room to themselves as the dust would be difficult to live with from that lot! But yes, its all indoors:)

Wow, they sure are addictive arn't they. The dust was bad enough when i had 7 indoors hence the Aviary outside was born. I only have 4 left now and i miss having them in doors to be honest, but when i make noises about bringing the 4 back in hubby rolls his eyes.

I remember when you were building that indoor aviary. They all look super happy. They love the eucalypts don't they. There are many different types, and some flavours the budgies prefer over others.
While there are many varieties around Sydney, they are so incredibly tall that it's impossible to reach the branches.

Thanks guys:) Mick, the blue and yellow one is grandson to one of my first ever pairs. I lent his mother to Spickydavies to breed from and she sent me mum and this kid (Mega) back:) Stace, I was really naughty and bought a cider gum and planted it in the garden of my neighbour, not having a garden of my own at the time! It must be frustrating seeing all those high branches and not being able to get at them! Its a bit like the willow trees here. They are always on the wrong side of the river where you can't get too without walking 5 miles! Wow, they sure are addictive arn't they. The dust was bad enough when i had 7 indoors hence the Aviary outside was born. I only have 4 left now and i miss having them in doors to be honest, but when i make noises about bringing the 4 back in hubby rolls his eyes. He he I swapped my old partner for the budgies;) Not saying you should try that though! My new partner lives in his own cage so we manage to get on ok;)
