Feeling guilty is what we all do in this situation, Ladybird. We all feel like we let a poorly bird down.
It's good that Buddy has been a little more lively today, even if it's not by much. I hope you can have a productive talk with the vet tomorrow.
I still don't think you can say with any certainty that Buddy's condition is in any way linked to PTFE poisoning but I know you won't feel able to move forward without eliminating it as a possibility. Junking the pan and the liners will enable you to do this. This is how you make progress.

I'm glad Buddy brightened up in the evening. That must have made it a little easier for you to leave him at bedtime. I hope he's brighter still when he wakes up in the morning.

Got an appointment today with the trainee vet because the main vet is on holiday. BUT she saw Charlie last year and is very nice. Buddy is more lively today, but obviously something is wrong. We can’t leave him there it’s just not an option for us to drive that far again. I really don’t know what she can gain from just looking at him but I have to take him.

I hope the vet is able to do something to help Buddy.
I hope that in removing the things that you have, you will have prevented any further issues and he can recover.

Buddy has seen the avain vet , she thoroughly examined him….he has a fungal infection in his air sacs. He has antibiotics to be given twice a day for a month and she told me to get him a nebuliser to be put in his cage twice a day with his cage covered for 15 minutes…….So I am glad I took him but sad he has to have a month of treatment……….I know vets fees are a lot but WOW……over £100 plus I have to get nebuliser ….Not moaning really I love him….just shocked a bit.

So good to get a diagnosis that you can act upon, Ladybird!
The expense is hurty but it's the price we are all prepared to pay.

I'm glad Buddy got on well at the vets. He'll soon be feeling much better and the month won't seem so long. Vets are getting so expensive, especially specialist ones.

I'm glad that you've got a treatable diagnosis for Buddy! Although I sympathise with the injury to the wallet!

I'm glad you got a diagnosis for Buddy, I hope it helps him. Which antibiotic did you get?
I asked my vet several times about nebulisers and he said he'd send me info but never did. I'd be interested in which nebuliser you get.

You must feel so relieved that you took him ladybird and although expensive, at least you have a diagnosis, which is ultimately what we want from a trip to the vets. It’s worse to bear when they “don’t know” what is causing the issue. Hope Buddy gets on well with his antibiotics and nebuliser. At least you can feel you’re doing something pro-active now. Get well soon Buddy!
