It's tiny at the moment but I'm going to re-pot it on the balcony and hopefully it'll get massive and I can start giving the budgies bits!

They will love it, best in a pot i have one in the garden and its a constant battle to keep it under control, they can grow very quick and become hard to manage, im always cutting mine back, much to the delight of my crew .

That's a great idea Marianne - I was looking in the garden centre only on Tuesday to see if I could get one in a pot for our future birdies. Looks like the perfect size too. You have to show pics of the crew having a taste!

I bought a one last year, it was about 3ft tall and a bargain at £5. The top is now missing as the budgies have distroyed it! My friend has a large Eucalyptus Tree in her garden and every time the tree has a trim my budgies get the branches!!! they go made!

Ha ha. Who can blame them! I am going to put it in a large pot on the balcony and hack off branches when it gets bigger

We too have a eucalyptus gunii in a pot, ours came from a garden centre, it sits on the decking in the garden. It happily overwinters there too. I think it has been there for at least 3 years now.
Your guys and gal will love it:)

Thanks Lupin. I do hope so, the leaves are meant to have medicinal properties and be very good for them!
