And there am I, just randomly selecting one on The Bay of E ;D ;D ;D ;D Thank you for all suggestions, I do like Marianne's one plus with birdies to keep it under control, I don't think it would grow too big anyway!

hi nat.... just looked on ebay ....which seeds is it ...... as theres lots of typs of eucy trees on there ? as id like to grow one...... in my outside flight ....in a pot.....and the leaves on my link .....look different shape ......to Marianne's plant? ? i found these seeds on ebay the leaves look like the ones in my link ...are they ok ? heres the page number 220840454945...[/quote] Hi mick. I just bought these this morning as I lost 75% of my 6 inch high seedlings to the frost even though they were under glass! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Eucalyptus-gunnii-Cider-Gum-50-Seeds-/230754555772?pt=UK_HomeGarden_Garden_PlantsSeedsBulbs_JN&hash=item35ba0b177cThe leaves on young plants look round, but as the plant matures the leaves start to elongate and get points at the ends. If you keep pruning then the leaves seem to retain the rounder shape for longer. You might find by putting the whole plant in the aviary that it has been destroyed after a couple of days!

They can be very slow growers, Marianne. I hope for your (and the fiends') sake yours isn't one of them! It will be the most watched tree in the whole of London, lol, but they will have chickweed to devour soon to take the onus off poor Tree!
