My budgies are quite adventurous when it comes to food. But they were not always this way.

I had to offer them things in different formats before they would accept them. For example, they pretty much ignore anything that is not chopped up or grated!

No sense in a whole piece of carrot or apple, it needs to be just the right shape..

Here are some of the things they like..

Dill

Corn, cress, seaweed, egg

Coriander

Carrot, courgette

Basil

I only seem to be able to serve veggies to my budgies by hanging them up, threading them on a skewer, or clipping them to the cage bars. Anything on a plate or in a bowl they pretty much ignore, some of them see plates as really scary! Any tips on how to get them used to eating from a plate?

They went and chewed some corn, chucked a bit around and are now resting. They'll be back to it in a bit I expect.
