Thyme and Rosemary today. seems like it was very popular. They didn't like either Rosemary or Thyme the first time I gave it to them.

That is corn on Monty's beak by the way. He had corn the other day and some of the outer layer got stuck to his beak. I hope it comes off soon it looks so messy!

Good lord, this thread makes me hungry, they eat better than we do Do you grow your own herbs for them and do you find you throw lots away or do you keep some in the fridge for next day. I'm always a bit scared I'm going to poison mine so i tend to stick to the carrots, apples, cucumber you know that sort of thing, never tried herbs on them, must give it a go Ive got loads in the garden, just coming on again now .

I was about to ask Marianne the same, Skysmum. I feel that she buys hers fresh, but garden grown has to be better still! Your little guys are going to be experimented on, I can tell! No, Marianne nothing like Basil Brush, you nut! If I were less techno-dyslexic I could put up an image, but hope this works......... www.anbg.gov.au/callistemon/index.html

Hezz is right, I buy my herbs. Basil in a pot and the rest in packets. Garden grown would be great, but I don't have a garden. Okay Hezz. But which part of this weird plant do they eat?

Did they try the rosemary?
I give mine a whole rosemary stem. He likes to rip it apart by pulling at those little hard leaves.

Not sure Stace. Have a feeling that they may have just thrown it out of the way to get to the corn and carrot!

Leaves get nibbled (and used for a bath) the bark is pealed off bit by bit, the little nuts are nibbled and then thrown around the room, LOL, and the flowers are shredded! And the best thing - the budgies smell so nice after!

You are the Martha Stewart of the Budgie Culinary World, Marianne. I cannot compete. I am ashamed to say, I would get a D for presentation. This is zucchini, red pepper, coriander and chopped egg whites. And look at Boo's messy mush. What a little piggy. I guess you have napkins at the table too.

It's the egg that's the problem. I try to wipe it up and it just sort of smears everywhere. He then comes and rubs his face on my shoulder to clean himself up, then does a little poop to lighten his load before flying off.
