Yes, it can Ira. I find the same thing. You can see the over-night piles, by the fact that they are piles rather than random droppings, and I have noticed that when the weather is damp, rainy, humid, the wetness is much more obvious. I do remember Barrie saying this was perfectly normal also. |

Just to let you know I would have never guessed Rosette was getting sick without this post, thanks. I started watching her better and was able to catch her quick enough to take her to the vet.

What did the vet say was wrong with rosette? I hope it's easy to treat. She has a stress induced respiratory infection and eye infection. Meds by mouth and eye drops three times a day!!! She hates me but is biting me less and less. I'll post a pic. |

Oh yes that is ringing a bell now. I've just had to catch my two twice a day for a week to give baytril by syringe in the beak. That was a steep learning curve! You've doing very well from not having any budgies two weeks ago. Have you had any bird experience before? I think you said not. I didn't before Merry and pippin who I've had four months now. I couldn't possibly manage taking on a flock as you have. Can't wait to see more photos of the bedding pair and sweet little chicks.

Lol as soon as I pry the computer from my 12 year old ill post some as I want help trying to sex them, mom and dad are still to skittish to handle they flap and yell when I clean the cage, poor babies!! I think the pet shop scarred them so I hope they can at least get comfortable with me in the cage, though I'd love to hand tame them it might be impossible. At least I hope we can co-exist! From what I've seen you are doing a great job!
