yeah mick there is a hole but it is sealed using a piece of wood underneath.
Thanks guys its not a massive set up but i love it. It does me and my birds love it.
Yeah the plot really thickens. Think maybe someone was coming in and taking a few but i just cant see why someone would risk doing that for a few budgies?

Think maybe someone was coming in and taking a few but i just cant see why someone would risk doing that for a few budgies? thats good news about the hole .......so you can discount that... so it brings me back to a person.... is there another breeder near you ..... that you have had visit you ......ie a friend...if so id look there for your budgies.... it has to be some one with breeding budgies or they would have to hand feed them ... did any one ask you about hand feeding budgies before yours went missing ....again i say a friend......

So...had a major clean out of the aviary today pulled everywhere out and found a few mouse droppings!!!! So maybe this is the problem. By the looks of things it's only a field mouse so I still don't think that it would have been able to carry the baby away without leaving a blood trail behind. What do you guys think now?

put some mouse traps down i used to bait mine with mars bar bits as it stays on and they cant resist it .... having said that they need to go but ..... agree with....BB.... you said sine you have locked it no more has gone missing ... id still say its a person responsible .... but you need to get rid of the mice ...there wee can kill budgies .. .
