Hello Everyone . Prepare To Read... LoL ive decided that i am no longer going to keep my budgies ... a couple week ago 1 died and then the other day 1 escaped which has hit me like sugar ... i love my budgies but the time has come were i can no longer let them roam freely constantly due to being scared if they escape. I am rehoming the 6 budgies i have to a big aviary someone i know as. i know its going to hurt me see them go but its what best for the little fellas. my landlord wont let me build an aviary here so it sucks. on a good note id like to thank everyone on this forum for the help and support over the 18 months ive had budgies barry , BB , Marianne especially as they have given me alot of help and info in the past . im still going to be around on the forums just tp say hello and that.. so dont think ya getting rid of me that easy! thank you everyone.

I am so sorry that you have had to do this Scott. I know how much you love your birds.
It can be a painful thing to have pets die and escape, but you know that you gave them the best you could. X

It's always sad whenever someone is forced to re-home the budgies but it's the time as you said. I am glad that you decided to stay and keep in touch

the guy come today i know they are going to a good home he spent 50 pound to get here to collect them. and chucked me 25 as a thanks... i wont be able to visit them but i will have constant updates and pictures via facebook so thats a good note. its so quiet in my front room now. i still do have my quaker parrot for company on the plus side of things. the guy is also going to breed from a couple of my budgies so i can see some lovely chicks when he breeds them which i am very excited about as i have never bred . so today was a sad day and also a good day for me and brings me a little bit of excitement .. thank you everyone for your kind words

Awww Scott, that is good news he is breeding from your birds - that will be a legacy to be proud of And think how your quaker will have a lot of one on one time with you, I am glad you have got at least one feathered friend to look after you ;D

felt weird today waking up and all being so quiet. except for the quaker telling me to "Come ON" cos he wanted out the cage lol... no mess on the floor just a couple shells from the nuts the parrot has had... im use to feathers everywere and a bit of poop. feels so weird not hearing those chattering little voices which i wake up to every morning

That's exactly the feeling when I spend night away from my home.
