When its boarded could I use ordinary emulsion to paint it ? its looking great .... just one thing where your bird hole is cut out you need to put some 2x2 across the top and bottom so when its boarded theres no gaps... and some thing to screw to ... and yes emulsion paint is ok .... .. but i have to say i would..... and did.... use (oil based )undercoat first..... to seal the wood...then i glossed over that ... but ... emulsion paint is good ...it just takes alot of coats to cover it right... ..

Going to sort some ply out tomorrow for the lining wheres the best and cheapest to get that any ideas ? you owuld probably get your sheet material alot cheaper at a wood/timber merchant plus they may even cut it to size for you.

just had a reply from shaun he said he cant remember the name of the plastic sheets , but he got his at wickes... .. they will tell you what its called .... its easyer to cut than wood and you can get cover strips for the corners and edges so its all sealed in plus you can stick it all up with gripfill or silicone sealant.. . and never have to paint it ever... ..

Progress so far , I got some cuprinol and had a shock at the colour was expecring red ceder colour but it was autumn red and its a bit on the bright side it can probably be seen from space lol All the wall lining is finished and the landing platform is in place (not painted yet though ) The bird flap from outside in closed postition again needs to be painted you can see it has an overlap to keep out drafts and with flap in the open position The wire devide in place , this is where I got my own way as hubby didnt want to section off but I did lol This is how far we have got hubby and son off on Monday to Tenby for a few days fishing so we will be onstop till they come back
