Thanks very much for sharing the photos of your aviary build and the new cage. This is so helpful as I haven't had the chance to look at any aviaries locally so I'm watching to see how you get along before getting started on my own. faceman The Budgie Man does the all-wire cage fold flat for storage and does it have a place where an external nest-box can be attached? It looks good from the photos as does the whole aviary. You are getting on with yours at just the right time for a good start this year. Mine is still in the thinking about it stage. Thanks for your kind words Learner.. cages do fold flat, and easy to clean its taken a week to get to where i am today going to be 2 more weeks prob!! draw a map of how you want it to look!! but this and doe's change along the way lol..write a list of stuff you will need to the cost adds up..

Faceman, ive been watching this with interest, you've done so well in such a short space of time. Its looking brilliant. Mine needs re-roofing and insulating before the spring, roof sprung a big leak in Nov hence why i have mine indoors so a good chance to revamp it. well done so far, looking forward to seeing the end result . thank you skysmum... hope you get yours sorted soon its only taken aweek to get to this point...i doubt this aviary will be there home for to long lol if i get right back in to it like i did last time this aviary will not be big enough...this one be ok for 30 ish birds..last time i had 70 lol

I have to agree with Skymum, amazing progress I like your outside flight. Are planning to cover it's top with a transparent sheet? Looks like sun was out as well

It is all looking very good.
Are you keeping track of the costs of equipment and materials?
I've been pricing mine up as I plan but have yet to include tubular heater, thermostat and time switches. Energy saving light bulbs seem to be worth a thought as they can help keep the running costs down.
(At the moment I am caring for my parents for the vast majority of each day and every night so it's time and energy I'm lacking.)
